We know your category already.

Consumer or commercial, the channels change but the discipline does not. These are the categories where we spend most of our time and already know what the competitive set looks like.

Why category experience actually matters

Agencies overclaim on this constantly. Most industry expertise amounts to having read a trade publication once. What it should mean is knowing the specific things that are different about selling in your category, and there are usually only three or four of them.

In home services, it is seasonality and speed to lead. In healthcare, it is that standard tracking creates compliance exposure. In manufacturing, it is that your buyer researches for months before contacting anyone and your specifications are trapped in PDFs. In restaurants, it is that the decision happens in ninety seconds and photos carry most of it.

Knowing those things saves you the first six months of an engagement. It does not make the work easier, but it means we start with the right question instead of discovering it in quarter two.

The value of category experience is not that we know your industry better than you do. It is that we will not spend your first quarter learning what you already know.

The consumer and commercial split

A consumer buying decision is fast, individual, and largely emotional. Someone needs a roof, searches, looks at reviews, and calls two companies. The window is hours. Everything is optimized for being present and being trusted in that window.

A commercial buying decision is slow, collective, and defensible. A purchasing manager builds a shortlist over weeks, brings in an engineer, and eventually has to justify the choice to someone else. Nothing about that rewards urgency tactics. It rewards being findable during research and being easy to advocate for internally.

Running the same playbook across both is the most common reason full-service agencies underperform for one type of client. We separate them from the first conversation.

Not seeing your category?

We work well outside this list, and the process does not change. What changes is that we spend more of the audit learning your competitive set rather than arriving with it. If we do not think we are the right fit, we will say so during the audit rather than after you sign.

Short answer

Arch serves eight primary categories in Columbus: home services, healthcare and dental, manufacturing and industrial B2B, legal and professional services, restaurants and hospitality, real estate and construction, nonprofit and education, and retail and ecommerce. The agency works with both consumer and commercial businesses and builds separate strategies for each, because consumer buying is fast and individual while commercial buying is slow and consensus-driven.

Not on the list?
Still worth a conversation.

The audit process is the same regardless of category. We will tell you honestly if we are the wrong fit.
